I'm Back!

Just a quick update.  Everything went well with the procedure and things are healing up nicely in spite of my meniscus being shredded.  (It looked like the fur of a fluffy bunny as opposed to being smooth like they're supposed to be)

As of yesterday I was able to walk around (or rather limp around) without the aid of crutches.  I've removed the message from my Etsy shop about the delay in shipments.  I'm not back to 100% just yet but maybe 85%.  I made a bunch of things before the surgery that I never got to list in my store so hopefully I'll be able to get to that in a day or two (although I also was hoping to get that over a month ago but in my defense I was limping around like Igor).

I'm still catching up on the day-to-day stuff.  In the meantime I'm able to make things and fill orders now so feel free to go buy that customizable reed diffuser set or some custom candles, some beautiful sparkly jewelry (I know you want it) or some adorable tie-dye shirts, etc.  If you don't see it, most likely I can make it so ask.  I specialize in customization after all.  http://boerbarn.etsy.com

I was going to post before and after pictures of my knee as I recovered but the early pictures were kind of gross so here is something funny instead.  Enjoy.

I'll Be Back...

I haven't posted anything in a while and I've been AWOL at live events as of lately.  I've been struggling through a knee injury since April and have just sucked it up and went on like I usually do but I'm going to have to get this worked on.  I would normally never publicly post things as personal as health issues but since its going to temporarily impact my business I should probably do so.  I'm going tomorrow for an arthroscopic procedure to repair a meniscus in my left knee.  I suspect there may be issues with the right knee as well but I haven't had that looked at yet.  I've seen my son go through meniscus surgery and then had to go back for an ACL repair later.  In comparison to the ACL, the meniscus surgery was a cake walk and he got over that pretty quickly.  I'm estimating I'll be out of commission for about a week.  I'll get confirmation from the doctor of course.  I'm keeping my Etsy shop open for the time being but made a note in announcements that I'll be unable to fill orders for at least a week.  I can still answer questions and customers can still place orders but there will be a delay.  I've been taking the last couple months off from in person live vendor events but I'm hoping to return in August or September.
